Mauro Elli

Mauro Elli, associate professor of contemporary history at Università degli Studi di Milano Statale, is research director of the project La lunga transizione: i nodi tecno-politici dello sviluppo delle fonti energetiche rinnovabili in Italia nel contesto comunitario financed by the Italian Ministry of University and unit leader in the national research project PRIN2022 Nuclear deindustrialization. Human capital, business restructuring, and environmental change in Italy (1971-1999). His research interests deal with the reciprocal feedback between foreign policy and technology during the Cold War, notably nuclear power developments and the aviation industry; the role of scientists and experts in political decision-making processes; scientific diplomacy.
