Jacopo De Grossi Mazzorin
Jacopo De Grossi Mazzorin works at the University of Salento (Lecce) in the Department of Cultural Heritage where teaches zooarchaeology and is head of the laboratory of zooarchaeology. Author of more than 230 scientific publications he has participated in numerous archaeological excavations in Italy and is also member of the researches groups for the Italian Archaeological Missions in various Mediterranean countries. The main focus of his research is the study of faunal remains from archaeological sites, their cultural interpretation, and all the information on the relationship between humans and animals (economy, rituals, etc.). The principal chronological interest is from the Neolithic to the post medieval age.
