Constanze Metzger

Constanze Metzger has gained 15 years of professional expertise in the field of international cultural cooperation. Employed by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, she worked on foreign cultural politics before joining UNESCO to implement the World Heritage Convention. She then managed a Joint Programme of the European Union and the Council of Europe on Cultural Routes. In 2022, she finalized a PhD on transnational heritage protection in which she analyzed possibilities and challenges of cultural cooperation across borders.
