Nicoletta Vasta

Nicoletta Vasta is Full Professor in English Language and Translation at the Department of Foreign Languages (DILL) of the University of Udine. Her research interests lie in political, advertising and conflict discourse analysis, with specific reference to the construction of identity, ideology, agency, and responsibility, which she carries out in a Critical Multimodal Discourse perspective and within the methodological framework of Systemic Functional Linguistics. Recent publications include the volumes Storytelling and Identity Construction in US Political Discourse (2023) and Multiliteracy Advances and Multimodal Challenges in ELT Environments (2020, co-edited with A. Baldry).
