Naima Benkari
Naima Benkari is assistant professor in civil and architectural engineering at Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, Oman; she is ICOMOS Expert & Voting Member. She is an architect and urbanist. Interested in vernacular architecture, the built heritage studies and management and in architectural education. She also obtained PhD in urban planning and policy at Pierre Mendés France University, Grenoble II, Institute of Urbanism, Grenoble (France); postgraduate degree, specialization in history of architecture at School of Architecture of Grenoble (France); master of science in architectural engineering, Specialization: architectural and urban acoustics at ISITEM, University of Nantes and the School of Architecture of Grenoble (France); BSc in architectural engineering at Farhat Abbas University, Institute of Architecture, Setif (Algeria).
