Ma. Luisa De Leon-Bolinao

Ma. Luisa De Leon-Bolinao is currently Professor of History and former Chair of the University of the Philippines’ History Department. Her research interests are Philippine and Southeast Asian environmental and disaster history. She co-authored several History textbooks for Basic Education, served as reviewer for various local and international journals, and consulted as Content Evaluator of History textbooks for the Philippines’ Department of Education (DepEd). She is a life member of the Philippine Studies Association (PSA), a founding member of the Association of East Asian Environmental History (AEAEH) [now the Association of Asian Environmental History (AAEH)], a regular member of the Association for Asian Studies since 1999, and an Associate member of The Philippine-American Academy of Science and Engineering (PAASE).
