José Maria De Ureña Frances
José Maria de Ureña Frances, Emeritus Professor of City and Regional Planning, University of Castilla La Mancha. He has worked/researched at several universities: Polytechnic of Madrid and Catalonia, Edinburgh, Cantabria, California Berkeley, Paris I Pantheon- Sorbonne, Lille 1, Católica de Antofagasta, Autónoma de Baja California, Nacional de San Agustín Antofagasta and Sapienza University of Rome. He has undertaken research and published on planning of fluvial areas, spatial implications of high-speed rail, design of public urban areas, metropolitan multicentric regions, urban regeneration, and teaching/ learning methods. He has been Rector (President/ViceChancellor) of the University of Cantabria and President of the Santander Group of European Universities.
