Carmen Ramos Villar

Carmen Ramos Villar studied at the University of Bristol, where she specialised on Portuguese literature. Her PhD examined the theme of emigration in the works produced by writers from the Azores islands and the Azorean-American community. Her research interests have developed to explore how life writing texts portray the Portuguese migrant in the United States. She has published on the literature produced by Azorean writers and Portuguese American writers.
