Benjamin Van Praag

Benjamin Van Praag, Senior Lecturer at Bath Spa University and doctoral student at the University of Bath, merges his fine art background with over 30 years of graffiti experience. Since 2018, he’s led pioneering projects across the globe, using co-creative methodologies to address social issues. Collaborating in Brazil, Armenia, Mexico, France, and the UK, his work highlights injustices and promotes social inclusion through graffiti-style murals and Co-Creation. As a language teacher, he empowers participants to explore topics like colonialism legacies and multilingualism through art. These workshops provide safe spaces for individuals to express themselves, claim their voice, and boost self-esteem.
