Alice Giuliani
Alice Giuliani (PhD) is adjunct professor in aesthetics at the Department of Education and Humanities of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. Her research deals with the cognitive and aesthetic qualities of metaphor as a figure of thought and as a tool for learning and education. She has particularly focused on the role of metaphor in Max Black’s analytical philosophy. She has published various articles on these subjects and has taken part in research projects about the role of metaphor in education. Together with Lorenzo Manera, she has written the book Conoscere per metafore. Aspetti estetici della metafora conoscitiva (Mimesis 2022).
